How to Rekey Weiser Kwikset Smart Key Lock: Weiser’s SmartKey re-key technology provides you the flexibility to re-key locks quickly and easily without removing them from the door.

1- Turn the working key 180 degrees,
2- insert the reset tool in the slot next to the keyway until you hear the “click”
3- remove the key,
4- insert new key and unlock and lock.
Note: I do not recommend this lock, too easy to open with a simple tool.

If your Weiser smart key won’t turn in the lock it is usually because the lock has malfunctioned. Also, occasionally the key will not enter the cylinder to unlock the door.
